November Meeting

Club day is Thursday, November 17th. Jason Lindsey from Hooked on Science will be doing a presentation for the science club members. Also, we will be kicking off our doughnut fundraiser so be sure to place an order with a science club member!

November Meeting

The next club day is scheduled for Thursday, November 17th. Jason Lindsey will be performing some Hooked On Science demonstrations. We will also be kicking off the Krispy Kreme fundraiser that day.

City Museum

The field trip went wonderful and we had a great time! I will try to get some pictures posted this week so check back!

Meeting September 21st

The next science club meeting will be this Wednesday, during 4th period. The meeting will be used to discuss details for the trip to St. Louis City Museum on Saturday. Don't forget we will be leaving at 6:00 am from the high school and will return around 10:00 pm that night.  At the meeting on Wednesday, the students will be revieving their science club t-shirt if they ordered one.

Permission forms due by Friday!

This is a reminder that the permission form for the trip to St. Louis is due this Friday along with a $5 deposit. Shirts have been ordered and should be here by the next meeting. I have had two parents volunteer as chaperones but don't forget I have to know by Friday, September 9th if you are interested.

Fall Trip

The fall trip is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, September 24th. We will be going to the City Museum in St. Louis, Missouri. Watch for permission forms for more details on departure time, return time, cost, etc. Any chaperone has to have a background check and be approved so contact me by September 2nd if interested.

August Meeting

We had our first meeting today. Congratulations to this years officers: President Alex Richards, Vice President Caity Kyle, Secretary Kennedy Yarbro, Treasurer Amanda Blalock and Reporter Sidney Harrison. Dues will be accepted through Friday, August 26th. Ideas for a fall trip were discussed but not decided on yet. Stay tuned for more information on the September meeting.

Joining Science Club

Officer applications for the 2011-2012 year are available from Mrs. Gardner or Mrs. LeClere and must be turned in by Friday afternoon (Aug 19th) at 3:00 pm. Dues are being accepted until the first meeting on August 24th and are $10 if you do not want a t-shirt and $15 if you do want a t-shirt. These may be paid to Mrs. Gardner or Mrs. LeClere - be sure you get a receipt. We already have a lot planned for this year and hope you plan on joining!
